What Does It Take to Save a Life? The Dollar4Life Campaign

I have written in the past in The White Rhino Report about the work of Prize4Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for ALS. Cambridge-based Prize4Life has just initiated a brilliant fundraising campaign that everyone can afford to contribute to. Let me share with you an e-mail message from my friend, Nate Boaz, the organization’s Executive Director.

Avi Kremer is one of my best friends. Three years ago he was a normal, healthy 29-year old. Then he was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Now he is confined to a wheelchair, and can barely use his hands. ALS is rapidly destroying all of his physical functions. The disease is fatal and there is no cure. Unless we find one, he will die soon. Last year I joined forces with Avi and top researchers in the field to found Prize4Life, an innovative non-profit organization that is already removing the obstacles that stand in the way of a cure.
