The Company
Our client is a growing, public company and leading global
satellite data communications company, specializing in Machine-to Machine (M2M)
communications and solutions. Its customers
include global leaders in heavy machinery and transportation companies. Their proprietary, low-cost and reliable
two-way data communications services track, monitor and control mobile and
fixed assets: commercial transportation; heavy equipment; industrial fixed
assets; and marine/homeland security. The Company also provides strategic
partnerships with other terrestrial carriers.
They are headquartered in Rochelle Park, New Jersey with additional offices
in New York, Atlanta and Japan.
Position
The Chief
Accounting Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning
of the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the company. The CAO will function independently of the
CFO and have a high profile in the management structure.
Responsibilities
·
Ensure
the timely and accurate maintenance of the financial books and records of the
Company.
·
Manage
the reporting process so that financial information provided to executive
management and the board of directors is both timely and accurate. This includes the preparation of financial statements
on a monthly and quarterly basis, and coordination of a full set of financial
statements into public company filings
·
Coordinate
and ensure compliance with the company’s external auditors. Participate in audit committee meetings and
prepare reports and memo’s for the audit committee.

Implement,
maintain and monitor effective controls over Company’s financial operations.
·
Understand
all major issues affecting analysis, acquisition and management of acquisition
targets.
·
Supervise
accounting staff to ensure: effective
and timely production of all requisite reports, statements, memorandum and any
and all other documentation on behalf of the Company; the financial integrity
of the Company’s books and records relating to the Company’s activities; timely
and accurate processing of cash management, accounts payable and proper
handling of all tax matters and timely filing of all tax return related to the
Company.

Guide
and manage the department’s technology capabilities to keep pace with the
growth in the business.
Requirements
·
Exceptional
leadership qualities to lead a department of financial professionals in a
growing company and deliver results for the department.

10+
years in management positions involving accounting operations.
·
5
years of experience as CAO or Controller.
·
Public
accounting experience desirable.
·
M&A
experience a plus.
·
BS
degree required; CPA, MBA favorably viewed.
·
Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate
recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
·
Strong
presentation skills.
·
Extremely
detail-oriented.
·
Meticulous
about quality of work product.
