This short article on leaders who succeed by taking into account the feelings they elicit from their team members struck me as helpful and insightful. The article - based in part on the principles laid out by Buckingham and Coffman in First, Break All the Rules - corrobates what I have seen anecdotally in my own experience in observing women and men who are outstanding leaders and motivators. The article made me "feel" encouraged and optimistic that dialogue about these kinds of leadership issues will lead to healthier and more nuturing work environments.
